You are cordially invited to Cantos de las Americas/A Tribute to Education, a fine arts performance by 16 MPS Schools. The cultural celebration through music and dance highlights Africa, South America, Caribbean, Mexico, Philippines, Hmong and Laotian heritages. The celebration is sponsored by UWM - Academic Affairs, Marcus Center and Forest County Potawatomi Foundation.

All Day Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap Competition
Nearly 2,500 local students from 45 schools (mostly MPS) will take center stage at The BMO Harris Bradley Center on May 18 in the seventh annual, citywide Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap (MHBT) Competition, presented by The BMO Harris Bradley Center. This event is free and open to the public. The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, located at 1001 N. 4th Street in downtown Milwaukee.

Every HERSHEY’S Track & Field Games meet offers running events, like the 50-meter dash and the 800-meter run, and field events, like the softball throw and the standing long jump. High School Senior Exit Survey Ends
2013 will mark the third year of administration of the MPS Senior Exit Survey, which replaces the school-based data collection on post-secondary intentions (sometimes known as the “bound-for” report). The window for this survey is April 1st through May 31st. All seniors are required to participate.
MPS IPS/Climate Survey for School Staff Ends
The 2012-13 Instructional Practices Survey will be combined with the annual staff version of the MPS Climate Survey. The window for this survey is April 29th through May 31st.
